Job summary

Family Dollar in South Carolina is seeking a part-time retail associate to assist customers, handle sales at the register, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness and safety. You will work with a team to deliver friendly service and accurate transactions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires good communication, reliability, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to follow instructions. Training is provided, and we value a positive attitude and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
