Job summary

Family Dollar in Clayton, NM is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience and support daily store operations.

You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, restock shelves, receive merchandise, and maintain a clean, safe environment. Part-time schedule with opportunities to grow within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
