Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly, helpful shopping experience at our Oklahoma location. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, protect cash and assets, and help keep the store clean and well-stocked.

You will participate in unloading shipments, replenishing stock, and upholding a safe, respectful environment for customers and coworkers. Prior retail or service experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform frequent movement.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
