Job summary

Family Dollar in Big Run, PA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, keep the floor stocked, and maintain store safety and cleanliness.

The role requires strong customer service, good organization, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. This is a part-time, on-site position offering a range of benefits and opportunities to grow with the Family Dollar team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or similar settings preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while at the registered cash wrap.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms included, and keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
