Job summary

Family Dollar in Carlisle, PA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage sales at the register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and organized.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior customer service in retail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will interact with customers and coworkers with professionalism and courtesy. We offer benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and other physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Clean and restock bathrooms; sweep and mop floors; take out trash; keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
