Job Description

As a Store Associate, you'll be responsible for merchandising and stocking product, cashiering, and cleaning to keep the store looking its best. You'll enhance the customer shopping experience by working collaboratively with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer service.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
• Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00; Year 3 - $18.50; Year 4 - $18.50; Year 5 - $19.50

Responsibilities

• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, clean, stock shelves, and merchandise displays.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team and management.
• Report inventory issues and participate in inventory counts.
• Follow cash handling policies and ensure security and confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

Ability to stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to operate cash register and equipment safely.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties and interpret policies.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcohol if applicable.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
