Job summary

David A. Nice Builders, Inc. is seeking a Retail Construction Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of retail construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.

This role combines office and field responsibilities, requiring travel to jobsites and client meetings to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in construction management, retail project exposure a plus, and strong skills in MS Project, Procore, and Vista.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction management experience; retail experience is a strong plus
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in the $500K to $15MM range
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and field teams

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of retail construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Lead internal start-up meetings, coordinate permitting, verify insurance and licensing, and confirm plan sets
• Build and manage schedules in MS Project with three-week lookaheads and milestones
• Review budgets daily, manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders, and lead project meetings
• Closeout with documentation and final turnovers within stated timelines
