Job summary

Fielmann USA is seeking a Construction Manager- Hybrid for Green Bay, WI to lead planning, coordination, oversight, and delivery of multiple retail new-store and remodel projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will serve as the primary construction contact for contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal partners, managing schedule, cost, quality, safety, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing construction of multiple new or remodeled retail outlets scheduled at the same time.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and technologies and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
• Experience with store design and construction.
• Working knowledge of federal, state and local rules, regulations, building codes and safety requirements applicable to commercial construction.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make timely, well-reasoned decisions.
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively and facilitate and implement ideas and solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee multiple new-store and remodel construction projects from start to finish.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings and conduct regular site visits and walk-throughs.
• Serve as primary company construction contact at active worksites with contractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
• Maintain active daily engagement, monitor progress, and respond to delays or emergencies.
• Identify and mitigate recurring construction issues.
• Prepare and maintain SOW, preconstruction docs, cost estimates, budgets, and timetables.
• Select general contractors and subcontractors; negotiate contracts.
• Monitor contract obligations and build relationships with contractors and vendors.
• Interpret and explain contracts and construction documents to partners.
• Develop and maintain project cost and change controls, budgets, and accounting records.
• Coordinate schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
• Manage performance to deliver on time and within budget; address issues.
• Report progress and budget matters to senior leadership.
• Coordinate with municipalities for permits and COs; ensure compliance with codes.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met and address issues.
• Address environmental or community issues during construction.
• Collaborate with Store Planning, architects, and engineers; coordinate closeout activities and documentation.
