Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Lexington, KY is seeking a dedicated store cleaning associate to maintain a clean, safe environment and support the day-to-day operations.

In this role you will assist customers, keep aisles tidy, and participate in store procedures to ensure a welcoming shopping experience. The position may involve standing for long periods and light stocking tasks as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store which includes maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.
• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store and find what they're looking for.
• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Deep clean key areas of the store including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
