Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate to help maintain cleanliness and assist customers at our Lexington location. You will help with stocking, checkout, rewards enrollments, and omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and SFS while following SOPs.

Likely duties include moving stock, ensuring planograms are followed, and supporting safety programs. The role requires friendly service, reliability, and the ability to stand for long periods in a climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods a must.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Deep cleans key areas of the store to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Maintains cleaning equipment neat and calls for supplies when needed.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Completes tasks assigned by supervisor and adheres to guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and private label credit cards.
