Job summary

Lancaster Archery Supply in Lancaster, PA, is hiring a Cashier to provide excellent customer service during checkout in the Pro Shop. This team member is the last interaction with our clients before they leave the Pro Shop.

Responsibilities include maintaining POS activities, assisting customers to locate products, processing transactions, and upholding company policies. The ideal candidate will have 6 months computer experience, be able to work 2-3 shifts weekly including 2 Saturdays, and pass

Qualifications

• 2–3 shifts per week with 2 Saturdays per month.
• At least 6 months of computer experience.
• Background check and drug test required by policy.
• Retail or cashier experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support POS activities and seek process improvements in the Pro Shop.
• Assist with merchandising throughout the Pro Shop.
• Help customers locate products in the Pro Shop.
• Process transactions and assist colleagues as needed.
• Maintain strong product knowledge.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist with Special Orders, service orders, and facility upkeep.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

The Cashier provides excellent customer service during the checkout process. This team member is likely the last interaction with our client before leaving the Pro Shop.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain and seek process improvement within the point of sale activities within the Lancaster Archery Supply Pro Shop.
• Merchandising assistance throughout Pro Shop.
• Assist clients to locate products within the Pro Shop.
• Provide transactional assistance to clients and fellow team members as needed.
• Maintain a comfort level with product knowledge.
• Uphold and support all company policies and procedures.
• Assist with operational tasks such as Special Orders, Service order andmaintenance of facility.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 2-3 shifts per week and 2 Saturdays per month
• 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Must have acceptable background check and pass a drug test as required by company policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, add-on sales, product features, and benefits.
• 1 year of retail experience.
• 1 year of retail experience as a cashier.

The physical requirements for this job function are as follows:

• Must be able to perform routine tasks with hands for a minimum of eight hours a day
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of eight hours a day
• Must be able to bend, twist and reach overhead to access items at varying levels
