MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is hiring a Retail Cashier for our OFallon IL store. The role includes greeting customers, operating the cash register, and maintaining store cleanliness. Pays $15.50/hour with a monthly bonus up to $250 and full-time benefits.

Excellent communication, organizational, and numerical skills are essential. No degree required; HS Diploma/GED preferred. Flexible schedules and retirement plans are provided.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Numerical skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist on sales floor; answer the phone within three rings with a professional greeting.
• Operate store cash register; handle cash, credit card transactions, discounts, returns; balance register.
• Stock, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Safeguard agency assets from harm or theft; report incidents of theft or unauthorized possession.
• Follow all policies, procedures, safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Monthly bonus up to $250.
