Job summary

E & C Mid-Atlantic Ventures, LLC is seeking a reliable cashier for our Maryland location. You will greet customers, process payments, issue receipts, and ensure accurate cash handling and balance at shift end.

Daily duties include operating the POS system, quoting prices, stocking merchandise, checking in vendors, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety.

A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience are typical; training on policies for alcohol and tobacco is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
• Reads and records totals from cash register; verifies cash on hand.
• Quotes price and describes item features to customers.
• Operates cash register and displays cost, tax, and rebates.
• Verify cigarette count with shifts; carding per policy.
• Handle alcohol and cigarettes carding per company policy.
• Price/display received goods.
• Check-in vendors and sign receipts; forward docs to management.
• Operate lottery machine.
• Clean store, including bathrooms and spills.
• Stock/restock merchandise and supplies.
• Keep food service equipment clean and full.
• Other duties as assigned.
