Job summary

E & C Mid-Atlantic Ventures, LLC is hiring for a retail associate responsible for handling cash, processing payments, and delivering friendly customer service. You will read totals, operate the cash register, and help customers understand pricing and promotions.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience. Training in liquor liability (TIPS) may be required where applicable, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• 1–3 months related experience or training required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
• Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
• Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received.
• Operates cash register and scans items to display cost, tax, and rebates.
• Follow Company Policy for carding: alcohol and cigarettes.
• Responsible for stocking/restocking of all merchandise and supplies.
• Clean and organize store, including restrooms and spills.
