Job summary

E & C Mid-Atlantic Ventures, LLC seeks a customer-focused cashier to handle cash/credit transactions, provide courteous service, and perform store duties. This role includes processing sales, handling receipts, and ensuring accurate totals and display of items.

The position requires basic math, the ability to read and communicate clearly, and adherence to safety and store policies. Training in TIPS/liquor liability may be provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered

Responsibilities

• Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand
• Makes change and issues receipts to customers
• Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received
• Operates cash register and displays cost, tax, and rebates
• Verify cigarette count with shifts, and follow policy for carding (alcohol and cigarettes)
• Responsible for pricing and displaying received goods
• Check-in vendors and sign receipts, keep copies for mgmt
• Operate lottery machine
• Clean store and restrooms and handle spills
• Stock/restock merchandise and supplies
• Keep food service equipment clean and full
• Other duties as assigned
