Job summary

E & C Mid-Atlantic Ventures, LLC is seeking a customer-focused cashier to handle cash and card transactions with accuracy while delivering courteous service. You will read totals, issue receipts, and verify changes as you guide customers through purchases and pricing details.

The role requires reliable attendance and basic math, with training in TIPS and liquor policies. You will also stock shelves, assist vendors, and maintain clean facilities in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Mkes change and issues receipts to customers.
• Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
• Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received.
• Operates cash register by passing price coded items across electronic scanner to record price, tax, and rebates.
• Verify cigarette count with previous and incoming shifts.
• Follow Company Policy for carding: alcohol and cigarettes.
• Responsible for pricing/displaying of received goods.
• Check-in vendors and ensure delivery before signing receipt; keep copies.
• Operate lottery machine.
• Clean store including bathrooms and spills.
• Stock/restock merchandise and supplies.
• Keep food service equipment clean and full.
• Other duties as assigned.
