Job summary

E & C Mid-Atlantic Ventures, LLC seeks a detail-oriented cashier to handle cash and credit transactions, provide courteous customer service, and accurately operate the POS system in a retail setting.

The role includes verifying totals, handling tobacco and liquor-related procedures, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. Training such as TIPS and safety may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maks change and issues receipts to customers.
• Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
• Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received.
• Operates cash register and displays cost, tax, and rebates on monitor.
• Verify cigarette count with previous shift and incoming shift.
• Follow Company Policy for carding: alcohol and cigarettes.
• Responsible for pricing/displaying of received goods.
• Check-in vendors and ensure delivery before signing receipt; keep copies.
• Operate lottery machine.
• Clean store, including bathrooms and spills.
• Stock/restock merchandise and supplies.
• Keep food service equipment clean and full.
• Other duties as assigned.
