Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The position typically attracts enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates with strong customer service backgrounds or relevant educational paths. As a cashier, your responsibilities will include overseeing the front counter POS (register) terminal, handling cash, bagging purchased merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor. You will also ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Must possess basic organizational and/or math skills
3. Upon accepting an offer, candidate will be subject to E-Verify
4. Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Effective communication and interaction skills
