Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The position is suitable for enthusiastic, detail-oriented people with solid customer service backgrounds and relevant educational paths. Cashiers are responsible for overseeing the front counter POS (register) terminal, handling cash, bagging merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor. The goal is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Must possess basic organizational and/or applicable math skills
3. Upon accepting an offer, candidate will be subject to E-Verify
4. Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Must possess effective interactive and communicative skills
