Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The role typically attracts enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates with strong customer service backgrounds or relevant educational paths. As a cashier, you will oversee the front counter POS (register) terminal and handle responsibilities including cash handling, bagging merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor. Your goal is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Basic organizational and/or math skills
3. Subject to E-Verify upon accepting an offer
4. Light to moderate lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Effective communication and interaction skills
