Job summary

GreenState Credit Union in Cedar Falls, IA, seeks a Manager Retail Branch to lead and mentor sales and service teams, drive branch performance, and manage staffing, scheduling, and incentives. You will foster business development, uphold credit union policies, and represent the organization in the community.

The role reports to the Director Retail Branches and requires strong leadership, customer focus, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7+ credit union or related experience; 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• High energy with ability to engage individuals and win business and open accounts.
• Thorough knowledge of products and services; ensures appropriate application of policies.
• Ability to network/build relationships to grow business.
• Interpersonal skills to represent the credit union positively.
• Accuracy and attention to detail with proficiency in oral and written communications.
• Ability to prioritize work and organize work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
• Ability to plan, organize, implement, and interpret programs, goals, policies, projects, and procedures.
• Conflict resolution and/or mediation skills.
• Computer literacy/experience.
• Reports to work punctually, prepared for scheduled meetings and is an active participant.
• Ability, availability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
• Must be bondable.
• Must be registered pursuant to SAFÉ Act requirements.
• Adheres to all state, federal and credit union regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages retail branch banking offices, including sales, service and operations.
• Implements plan to support achievement of goals and reinforces policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates teamwork in interactions with co-workers and in duties.
• Ensures confidentiality of member information.
• Participates in community and business functions to ensure a positive image for the credit union.
• Responsible for efficient operations through continued assessment and improvements.
• Ensures policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines.
• Monitors and reports branch activities in key performance areas.
• Develops and recommends annual branch performance targets for team and individuals.
• Coaches branches to achieve business development: outside networking, in-branch selling, outbound phone selling, and referrals.
• Creates training/development plans and coaches a successful sales & service team with accountability for performance.
• Conducts periodic sales/service performance evaluations.
• Maintains attendance standards and staff scheduling.
• Promotes professional development of branch staff.
• HR responsibilities for supervised personnel including hiring, termination, performance reviews and salary considerations; sets goals.
• Participates in community service/credit union events annually.
