ShopRite of Orange in Orange, CT is seeking a Bookkeeper to handle all tender types, report store sales, perform deposits, and ensure security procedures while supporting Courtesy Counter operations.

The ideal candidate can read/write/speak English, perform basic math, stand and walk for long shifts, lift 25–50 lbs, and interact with customers in a friendly way; a benefits package including 401k, medical/dental/vision, paid time off is available.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand and walk for long shifts.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly and more occasionally.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and maintain cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Record store sales and hourly readings.
• Balance drawers and handle deposits and cash handling procedures.
• Prepare and report sales figures per the store's requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and assist at the Courtesy Counter as needed.
• Adhere to security policies and QA standards.
