Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Bookkeeper in Bottino, NJ to handle tills, deposits, and sales reporting while ensuring security and accuracy. You will balance drawers, maintain records, and assist with customer service at the Courtesy Counter as needed.

The role requires basic math, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the stamina to stand for long shifts in a fast-paced retail environment. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work with products and potential allergens safely.
• Work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust/chemicals.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Adhere to schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat, organized work environment.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment per standards.
• Pick up receipts and balance daily cash and store fund readings.
• Greet customers and provide prompt service.
• Record store sales and hourly readings.
• Report suspicious activity or mishandling of funds.
• Adhere to security and cash handling procedures.
• Perform duties per QA and health standards.
