Job summary

ShopRite of Deer Park seeks a Bookkeeper to support store operations and ensure accurate daily sales reporting and cash handling. The role includes balancing drawers, handling deposits, and aligning with security procedures to safeguard funds.

Responsibilities also cover customer service at the Courtesy Counter, maintaining clean work areas, and supporting store operations with precise record-keeping and adherence to QA standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with various products and allergens without negative reactions.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust/chemicals.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

• Ability to adhere to attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and equipment following QA standards.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Record store sales and hourly readings; balance drawers and funds.
• Follow security policies and cash handling procedures.
• Perform duties in accordance with health, safety, and QA regulations.
