Job summary

ShopRite of Stirling in New Jersey is seeking a reliable Bookkeeper to support daily cash handling, sales reporting, deposits, and cash room integrity. You will balance drawers, record store sales, and assist Courtesy Counter Associates as needed.

The role requires strong basic math, English literacy, and the ability to stand for long shifts while maintaining accuracy in financial transactions and daily balancing of funds. Training provided; safety and security procedures are emphasized.

Qualifications

Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
Adhere to security policies and procedures including cash room integrity.
Perform duties in accordance with cash handling procedures and balance drawers daily.
Record store sales and hourly readings; report suspicious activity or mishandling of funds.
Assist with deposits, receipts, and reporting store sales as required.
