Job summary

Brightline Trains is seeking a Retail Attendant at the Aventura Station to assist guests in selecting gifts and supplies that enhance their ride experience. You’ll be part of a dynamic, guest-focused team and help maintain appealing merchandise displays across the station.

You should enjoy working with people, stay positive through busy periods, and be able to stand and move for long stretches while handling basic math. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• You are a natural people person, comfortable with retail, food, or beverage sales.
• Ability to stay positive for long hours, adapt your communication to a diverse audience.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Basic math skills sufficient for day-to-day operations.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Position Summary

As an essential member of the Brightline Station Operations team, you are an integral part of our guests’ journey. Essential Job Functions:

• Customer Service: Provide attentive and detailed service to all guests; use suggestive selling techniques when referring to menu options and retail offerings, and cordially share information about our Company services and destinations.
• Merchandising: Responsible for maintaining and managing how merchandise in our market is displayed to drive both revenue and guest experience.
• Loss Prevention: Be aware of guests' behaviors and raise an alarm to the security team in the event of suspicious activity.
• Communication: Monitor and review all Brightline communication channels, including our company intranet, bConnected, during work hours to ensure all company and department communications and notifications are promptly reviewed.

Your Qualifications:

• You are a natural people person, comfortable with either retail, food, or beverage sales.
• Staying positive for hours on end (including in stressful times), you adapt your communication style to fit a diverse group of people.
• Standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and being on your feet for hours on end is something you are able to do.
• While you don’t have to be a mathematician, you possess basic math skills.
• You are a minimum of 18 years old.
• You are able to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
