Goodwill Industries SELA is hiring a Retail Associate for Lakeshore Dr in New Orleans, LA. This entry-level, full-time role supports retail operations, cash handling, and customer service on the sales floor and backroom areas.

You will assist donors and customers, maintain displays, stock items, and ensure cleanliness and safety throughout the shift. The position demands flexible hours, physical activity, and a focus on providing a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register, receive payments, and record sales.
• Sort and hang garments; prepare backroom merchandise for display.
• Restock sales floor and ensure proper shelving and placement of items.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free workstation and rotate store merchandise as directed.
• Greet donors, assist with donations, and issue receipts; provide customer information.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures and attend scheduled shifts.
