Goodwill Industries SELA is seeking a Retail Associate in Marrero, LA. This entry-level, full-time role focuses on supporting the retail store operations, assisting customers, and processing donations and sales.

You will load and stock merchandise, operate the cash register, and ensure a clean, organized sales floor. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a strong customer service attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekends.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register, receive payment for purchases and record sales and other transactions.
• Sort and hang garments with quality standards.
• Check, sort and price electrical equipment and small wares for display.
• Transfer merchandise from back room to sales floor.
• Maintain clean and hazard-free workstation and rotate store merchandise.
• Greet donors and assist with donations and receipts.
• Assist customers with general information and incident reporting.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.
