Goodwill Industries SELA is looking for an energetic Retail Associate in Hammond, LA. This entry-level role supports multiple store operations, assists donors and customers, and contributes to a positive shopping experience.

You will perform cashier duties, backroom/production tasks, and floor maintenance while upholding store policies and the mission of Goodwill SELA. This full-time position offers growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekends.
• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register, receive payment for purchases and record sales.
• Sort and hang garments, price equipment and prep for display.
• Transfer merchandise from back room to sales floor and keep workstation clean.
• Restock garments and household items on the sales floor and maintain orderly racks.
• Assist in security by staying aware of customers' activities and report suspicious activity.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures and attend scheduled shifts.
