Job summary

Meow Wolf in Denver is seeking a Retail Associate to champion weirdness, inclusion, and creativity in a guest-facing shop and exhibition environment. You will help guests, handle transactions, and contribute to the storytelling experience with a performative flair.

The role is part-time and seasonal, with roughly 20 hours per week, starting in mid-November and ending in February. Prior retail or arts-interest is a plus, and bilingual skills are a bonus.

Job Description

The Retail Associate champions weirdness, radical inclusion, and the power of creativity to change the world. Reporting to the Retail Manager, the Retail Associate creates an otherworldly shopping experience for our guests. Retail Associates will have expansive knowledge of our products, prepare and display merchandise and assist guests with their transactions. We encourage Retail Associate to elevate the narrative within our story world by executing their job duties with a performative and creative flair.

Compensation

Compensation for this role is $19.75/hour. **Please note: This is a part time, seasonal position. See "Work Schedule" below for full details.**

• Conversationalist, impersonator or otherwise.
• Hidden talents that can be employed as part of the persona including singing, dancing, magic, comedy.
• Bilingual, especially but not limited to English and Spanish.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position works primarily in an indoor setting with exposure to noisy environments, dim lighting, strong visual effects including strobing lights, special effects, fog machines and small and/ or enclosed spaces. May require work outdoors for special events or critical functions.

Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Positioning or moving objects up to 20 pounds. The employee will comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Schedule

This position has an effective start date on or after 11/16/2026, with the position ending no later than ~90days later (2/14/2027). This position is seasonal. We are looking for those who have evening, weekend and holiday availability. Approx. 20 hours per week.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not require supervisory responsibility.
