Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Auburn, IN is seeking a friendly Retail Associate for a part-time, 25-hour per week role. Pay is $13.50 per hour, with evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. You will help customers, process sales, and assist with donations to support community programs.

Qualifications

• Friendly customer service is required.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
• Other duties as assigned
