Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Auburn, IN is hiring a Retail Associate (PT, 25 hours) to greet customers, process sales, and help with donations. You’ll join a mission-driven team focused on turning donations into programs that support the community.

You will work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, with paid training and ongoing coaching from store leadership. Prior retail or cash register experience is helpful, but reliable attendance and a can-do attitude matter most.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing
• Ability to stand and move merchandise throughout shift
• Basic math and computer skills
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors; provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, tag, price, and display donated merchandise
• Move merchandize to sales floor and displays; keep store organized
• Support daily sales and production goals with team
