Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Plymouth, IN is seeking a part-time Retail Associate (25 hours per week) to provide friendly customer service, process sales, and help manage donated merchandise. The role includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled and offers paid training and ongoing coaching.

You will greet customers, operate the register, and sort and price donations while maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing.
• Ability to provide friendly customer service.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed, while creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
