Goodwill Industries SELA is hiring a Retail Associate for Tulane Ave in New Orleans, LA. This entry-level, full-time position supports our Retail Operations with duties across cashiering, backroom, and sales floor responsibilities.

You will engage donors and customers, stock and price items, and help maintain a clean, organized store while adhering to safety policies. Excellent interpersonal skills and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register, receive payments, and record sales.
• Perform general duties for efficient store operation.
• Sort and price donated items and prepare them for display.
• Restock merchandise on the sales floor and maintain clean, hazard-free areas.
• Assist in security by monitoring donors and customers for suspicious activity.
• Greet donors and assist with donations and receipts.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures and attend shifts as scheduled.
