Goodwill Industries SELA is seeking a Retail Associate in Covington, LA. This entry-level, full-time role supports essential store operations, from cashier duties to backroom merchandising, while embodying the mission of transforming lives through work.

You will engage donors and customers, maintain merchandise presentation, and participate in housekeeping and safety procedures to ensure a positive shopping experience. Training is provided, and a competitive salary alongside benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in service industry preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the general duties necessary for the efficient operation of the Company’s retail stores.
• Operate the cash register, receive payment for purchases and record sales and other transactions.
• Sort and price electrical equipment and small wares and prepare for display on the sales floor; transfer merchandise from back room to floor.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free workstation and rotate store merchandise as directed by management.
• Greet donors, assist customers with information, and issue receipts, while following company policies and safety procedures.
