Job summary

Xanterra Grand Canyon South Rim is hiring Retail Associates to support cashiering, customer service, stocking, cleaning and sales on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. This full-time, year-round role starts in December 2026 with a pay of $15.85 per hour and a typical 40-hour week that may include weekends, evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in cashiering and serving customers in a retail setting.
• Ability to operate a POS system and handle cash accurately.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
• Be aware of product locations, sizes, prices and other information for customers.
• Operate POS system with accurate entries, charges, and deposits.
• Maintain security of issued cash and balance bank as directed.
• Ensure safety, risk management, and sustainability policies are followed.
• Provide exceptional guest service through friendly interactions.

Job Summary:

Perform all types of retail functions including, cashiering, customer service, stocking, cleaning and sales floor.

The Details:

Position Type: Full-time, Year-Round

Start Date: December 2026 Pay: $15.85 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
• Be aware of product locations, sizes, prices and other information, which will assist the customer.
• Operate POS system maintaining accurate entries, charges, change, and deposits.
• Responsible for issued bank including change orders and security of the bank.
• Handle store security issues as directed by store management.
• Complete assigned job board on daily basis.
• Assist other store sales clerks as directed.
• Adhere to all safety, risk management, and sustainability policies while performing tasks.
• Provide exceptional guest service through professional and friendly interactions with guests, co-workers, vendors and other partners.
• Welcome each guest visiting our stores with a sincere and appropriate greeting.
• Acknowledge and/or thank our guest as they leave.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least one year of previous cashiering experience.
• Ability to properly handle and secure cash and credit cards.
• Public contact skills with the willingness to courteously interact with a broad cross-section of customers.
• Previous retail experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements include:

Constantly: Stand, handle, reach.

Frequently: Walk, reach above, lift/carry up to 20 lbs, push/pull up to 25 lbs.

Occasionally: Sit, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 40 lbs.
