Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Portage, MI is seeking a friendly Retail Associate to provide excellent customer service, process donations, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

Responsibilities include operating the POS system, handling cash, stocking and organizing merchandise, and supporting store operations with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided and benefits accrue after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor and donation area.
• Operate the POS system, complete sales transactions, and handle cash.
• Stock, straighten, and organize merchandise to meet production goals.
• Assist donors with donations and provide receipts.
• Follow store policies and safety guidelines; support opening/closing procedures.
