Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Portage, MI seeks a friendly Retail Associate to deliver outstanding customer service, process donations, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

You will operate the POS system, handle cash with accuracy, and support store operations, including opening/closing procedures, stocking, pricing, and shelving, while working a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor and donation area.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system accurately and manage cash.
• Follow cash handling policies and store procedures.
• Assist donors with donations and provide receipts.
• Sort, price, and stock donated merchandise.
• Support opening/closing procedures and store upkeep.
