Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Comstock Park, MI is hiring a part-time Retail Associate. The role focuses on friendly customer service, processing donations, cash handling, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. 25 hours per week with evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

You will operate the POS system, assist donors with receipts, and help stock, price, and display donated merchandise while following store policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service on the sales floor and donation area
• Operate the POS system and complete sales transactions
• Follow store procedures and cash handling policies
• Assist with donations, receipts, and donor information
• Sort, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Stock and maintain the sales floor and back areas
• Support receiving, loading, and unloading donations as needed
• Follow Salvation Army policies and dress code
