The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a friendly Retail Associate for the Portage, MI thrift store to deliver excellent customer service, process donations, and help create a welcoming experience for customers and donors.

You will operate the Point-of-Sale system, manage cash drawer, stock and price merchandise, and support store opening/closing and other duties with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to operate a Point-of-Sale system and handle cash accurately
• Able to maintain store organization and assist with donations and donations processing

• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor and donation area.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system, complete sales transactions, and manage the cash drawer in accordance with policy.
• Sort, price, tag, and prepare donated merchandise to meet store production goals and timelines.
• Stock, clean, and maintain the sales floor and donation areas to support a positive customer/donor experience.
• Assist with receiving, loading, unloading, and moving donations or merchandise as assigned.
