Job summary

Michaels in Southbury, CT is hiring for a Store Team Member to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and keep the store well merchandised.

You will engage customers with the Rewards program, handle checkout, restock, support omni-channel tasks like BOPIS, and follow SOPs while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. Experience in retail and a positive attitude are preferred; the role requires standing and light lifting.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Able to handle cash and operate a register accurately.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; handle cash to standards.
• Engage customers on rewards program enrollments and private label cards.
• Educate customers on VOC survey.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Maintain store recovery and in-stock conditions; support safety programs.
