Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Retail Associate to provide exceptional customer service, demonstrate merchandise, and support checkout processes while maintaining store standards and assisting the Store Leadership team.

You will respond to customer questions, make product recommendations, and help ensure a positive in-store experience aligned with the company values and policies.

Qualifications

• No specific education required; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a position or specialization or less.
• Experience operating Inventory and POS systems and other retail software tools.
• 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to questions or issues regarding product features, benefits, and availability.
• Engage with customers to understand needs and preferences and provide product recommendations.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety.
• Retrieve merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
• Perform cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges, loyalty program) accurately.
• Contribute to store profitability by handling product flow efficiently.
