Job summary

ALDI USA in New York is seeking a store associate to merchandise, stock, cashier, and clean the store while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work with the team to ensure a fast, friendly shopping experience and maintain store standards.

This full-time role averages 30+ hours per week with starting pay of $20.00 per hour and scheduled wage increases over the next few years. Benefits are offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate POS and cash handling procedures.
• Able to follow policies and maintain store standards.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.
• Informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Properly utilizes the POS system to scan and process customer purchases and reports scanning concerns or errors.
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.
• Follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout.
• Stocks shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms to maximize sales.
• Completes curbside pickup orders accurately and delivers to customers’ vehicles from the staging area.
• Maintains zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assists management in achieving operational efficiency and loss prevention goals.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and maintains a safe work environment.
