Job summary

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Northeast Florida is seeking a Retail Associate to join our luxury retail team. You will warmly welcome members and guests, provide personalized shopping assistance, process transactions, maintain displays, and support daily retail operations to deliver Forbes Five-Star service.

Ideal candidates bring a positive attitude, strong communication, and comfort with POS systems; previous retail or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Comfort with handling transactions and operating a POS system.

The Opportunity

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is seeking a Retail Associate to join our retail team. This position plays a key role in creating exceptional shopping experiences for members and guests by providing personalized service, assisting with merchandise selection, processing transactions, maintaining merchandise displays, and supporting daily retail operations. The Retail Associate helps deliver the genuine hospitality and Forbes Five-Star service standards that define the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club experience.

The Day-to-Day

• Welcome members and guests with a warm, professional, and engaging attitude.
• Provide personalized shopping assistance and product recommendations.
• Deliver Forbes Five-Star service by anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.
• Process purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Answer telephone inquiries and assist with merchandise questions.
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure the boutique remains clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Assist with receiving, restocking, pricing, and inventory management.
• Build relationships with returning members by learning their preferences and providing personalized service.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to create an exceptional shopping experience.

What Sets You Apart

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Luxury retail, boutique, resort, country club, or hospitality experience is a plus.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and handling transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a luxury resort environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a shift.
• Ability to frequently move throughout the retail shop while assisting guests.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use a telephone, point-of-sale system, and other retail equipment.
• Full-time availability, approximately 35–40 hours per week.
• Flexible schedule required, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
