Arizona Snowbowl is seeking a Seasonal Retail Sales Associate in Flagstaff, AZ to help guests find the right ski gear and provide exceptional service. You will communicate product features and benefits, maintain a clean shop, and keep inventory fresh throughout the day.

Responsibilities include handling payments, restocking, merchandising, and supporting daily shop operations to ensure a smooth guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

The purpose of the Snowbowl Retail Sales Associate is to assist our valued guests in finding the best gear that suits their specific needs, while delivering expectation-exceeding customer service throughout the process. It is crucial to effectively communicate product features and benefits, as many of our customers are unfamiliar with ski clothing and equipment. Our Retail Associates are also responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked shop at all times. Retail employees will need to be self motivated and are expected to take initiative to find projects to keep the retail shops orderly and fresh.

QualificationsEssential Functions:

• Provide superior customer service to each guest.


• Have basic knowledge of Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort and cultural statements.


• Continue to acquire additional knowledge of Snowbowl and general operations.


• Accurately handle payments and balance the cash drawer.


• Communicate with guests, team and management effectively.


• Offer Product Knowledge gained through training and clinics.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail space.


• Count and take in inventory.


• Restock the store with backstock brought up in the morning and throughout the day.


• Actively gain knowledge of products and technology in the industry.


• Assist with filling out a daily backstock sheet.


• Complete opening and closing checklists daily.


• Retrieve and gather accurate inventory from the backstock location.


• Assist with merchandising

Additional Functions (with pay increase):

• Responsible for opening/closing of shop in absence of supervisor/manager.


• Have extended knowledge of Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort.


• Offer extended product knowledge gained through training and clinics to both guests and fellow employees.


• Be properly certified and trained to tech ski and snowboard equipment for rent (training provided).


• Attend Guest Service Training to better assist guests with issues, resort credits and season passes.

Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements:

• Attend training held by retail manager and retail supervisors.


• Attend product clinics put on by company representatives.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for long periods of time.


• Lifting up to 40 pounds.


• Cleaning/maintaining lodge and department areas such as windows, picking up trash, shoveling snow, etc.
