Job summary

WeTheHobby is a Rochester, NY-based sports card retailer seeking a part-time on-site Sales Associate. You will help create an enjoyable community atmosphere for customers and support day-to-day store operations in a lively, inclusive environment.

Ideal candidates have retail experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to multitask during busy hours, including afternoons, evenings or weekends.

WeTheHobby, a trusted and respected brand in the sports entertainment industry, is looking for an energetic sales associate to join our sports card retail store. This candidate will be responsible for helping ensure an enjoyable community atmosphere for our clientele.

This role is part-time and on-site at our innovative sports card store in Neighborhood Of The Arts in Rochester, NY. Come join a forward-thinking team, raising the standards of sports collectibles and playing a major role in an explosive and exciting industry.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail
• Desired experience in service industry & event management
• Track record of providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining high quality standards.
• Experience with POS, Square desirable
• Experience with Inventory management and tracking
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when dealing with high-profile clients/athletes
• Interest in sports desirable
• TCG knowledge desirable

Physical Requirements

• Sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods of time.
• Occasionally bend, stoop, or ascend stairs in an office environment.
• Lift and carry items such as laptops, monitors, and small office equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Navigate a typical office setting, including attending in-person meetings or collaborating across departments.

In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position based upon location in Rochester, NY and experience is $18 - $20 per hour.
