Job Description

The role of Retail Assistant Store Manager at Vuori is to help the Retail Store Manager lead the retail sales team by, for example, forging connections with customers while communicating Vuori’s brand values through insightful product knowledge and a happy, optimistic outlook. Also, encouraging the team on how to maintain Vuori’s standards in retail sales and customer experiences.

What you'll get to do:

• Create an unforgettable customer experience
• Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best experience possible.
• Take ownership of the sales floor and sales team to ensure customer experience is the first priority.
• Prepare fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide honest, knowledgeable feedback to customers regarding merchandise style and fit.
• Forge lasting relationships with customers by engaging with them about product details, new products, and upcoming events.
• Be knowledgeable on what’s new and what’s selling well and share this information with both the customer and team.

Be the business

• Lead the team on the day-to-day operations of the store when the Store Manager is not present.
• Motivate the sales team and achieve sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
• Seek new product knowledge in the broader fashion landscape and active-wear specifically to serve as an expert for the customer.
• Lead the team in completing projects while maintaining a focus on customer experience.
• Communicate inventory needs to support the business goals.

Leadership/Ownership

• Assist the Store Inventory Lead in processing shipments and managing inventory.
• Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily store maintenance, sales strategy, community engagement, and team management.
• Lead daily store maintenance including restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
• Follow safety protocols during opening and closing of the store.
• Encourage employees to give 100%, be punctual, and fulfill role responsibilities under the guidance of the Store Manager.

Operations

• Complete weekly manual restocks and report to inventory management.
• Conduct weekly cycle counts.
• Assist in processing shipments and online returns.
• Maintain stocked supplies and organize the backroom.
• Manage displays and mannequin setups weekly.
• Ensure merchandising standards are upheld on the sales floor.

Qualifications

Who you are:

• Available mornings and/or evenings, able to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week, including at least 1 weekend day.
• Reliable in punctuality and attendance.
• Able to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Customer service-oriented, capable of creating engaging experiences and handling concerns proactively.
• Skilled at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Quick learner with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Excellent communicator with interpersonal skills.

The hourly range for this role is $22/hr - $25/hr, plus team pooled commission.
