Job summary

Dollar Tree in Visalia, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with openings and closings, merchandise flow, inventory, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, organized sales floor and back stock area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment and professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
