Job summary

Dollar Tree in North Olmsted, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role supports opening/closing, merchandising, and daily tasks to keep the store running smoothly.

You will work under the Store Manager to train Associates, ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers, and uphold company standards. Part-time position with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience managing a retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organization, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and relevant communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, accounting records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets including store cash and secure areas.
• Adhere to policies and safety procedures; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
