Job summary

Nestlé Nespresso USA in New York’s flagship boutique seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager to co-lead with the Boutique Manager, driving sales, operations, and an exceptional brand experience. You will coach staff, manage daily routines, and ensure top-tier customer care in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in luxury retail with 2+ years in supervision, a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), and a passion for coffee and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to coach and teach the team, delivering the House of Hospitality.

• Guide customers on coffee choices, offer tastings, and share sustainability practices.
• Plan events to engage new customers and build brand recognition.
• Maintain safety and quality standards across the boutique.

Role title

Assistant Boutique Manager for our one-of-a-kind US Flagship in Flatiron, NY. You will be a co-leader to the Boutique Manager, executing strategy to drive sales and profitability, leading store operations, and delivering an unforgettable Nespresso brand experience.

What you will be doing

• Customer Obsessed: Lead by example to coach and teach the team, delivering the “House of Hospitality” to every customer and creating meaningful experiences daily.
• Drive Sales Results: Achieve sales and service performance through daily coaching and effective communication; curate the ideal customer journey in the boutique; review performance with the Boutique Manager and implement improvements.
• Team Development: Motivate through feedback and recognition; collaborate with the Store Manager to develop the store team and cultivate a learning-driven culture.
• Operations Excellence: Align with evolving priorities; manage operations, inventory, scheduling, and company processes; implement visual guidelines to optimize sales and presentation; act as Quality Coach to improve efficiency.
• Engaged Coffee Expert: Welcome, advise, and guide customers to identify their perfect coffee match; offer tastings and share knowledge about our coffee and sustainability practices.
• Connect with Community: Plan events to engage new customers, strengthen relationships, and build brand recognition.
• Agile and Resourceful: Approach opportunities with curiosity and flexibility to succeed.
• Care About Safety: Promote a safety-conscious culture for employees and customers.

What you will bring

• 3+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced or luxury retail environment
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in people management and development of direct reports
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks
• Passion for coffee, commitment to sustainability, and curiosity to educate about our coffee culture
• Availability to work open and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays
